Red Barked Tree

Wire has come a long way with many changes since the punk days of Pink Flag to the 80's pop of A Bell Is A Cup Until It Is Struck . Saying that, anything Wire has ever released has been solid. Their latest Red Barked Tree is simply a great indie-rock album and probably their best since reforming again in early 2000's. Those looking for the energy and experimental post-punk of early Wire, won't be finding it here, but will find am enjoyable rock album with catchy hooks and uniqueness in sound that Wire always delivers.

Tauhid

Link
Another classic Impulse release (1966) post-Coltrane, which produced some of the most exciting jazz in my book. Tauhid is Pharoah in his prime with Sonny Sharrock on guitar. Enjoy Pharoah's African inspired, cosmic journey.

Synthesist

Link
Incredible debut album from Harald Grosskopf. After recording drums on classic sessions for the Cosmic Jokers, Tarot, Ashra and Klaus Schulze, Grosskopf delivered Synthesist in 1980 filled with rhythmic, atmospheric synthscapes synth work that I would say rivals Tangerine Dream or Schulze . Highly recommended. Enjoy.
